A charmingly delicate antique ring crafted in 15ct gold, set with clusters of vivid turquoise cabochons arranged within an elegant, scrolling design. The split panel motif and flowing metalwork give the ring a refined, possibly French-inspired character.
Hallmarked in Birmingham and dated 1869, the ring beautifully reflects Victorian taste for colourful gemstones and decorative gold work. The bright turquoise stones contrast beautifully against the warm gold, creating a delicate yet distinctive antique piece.
Turquoise was a highly cherished gemstone during the 19th century and was often associated with protection, love, and remembrance. Rings such as this were frequently given as tokens of affection, making them both meaningful and timeless pieces of jewellery.
